To do this, one might consider hiring an expert who knows how to optimize the internet searches. It is widely held that sites that find there way to the top of the search results list receive far more traffic than those that are well down the list.
A nice website that appears high in the search results can go for naught if the agent does not have a good system of information capturing and follow up. Many websites promote free lists and newsletters for people that leave email information, for example. Once these email addresses have been captured, some kind of regular follow up is crucial to maintaining or growing one's business.
But just because there are new marketing wrinkles to embrace, an agent should not abandon some of the older methods. An example a sometimes laborious, but effective way of getting clients is the open house. Many newer agents, especially, can make a mark by attending these events. The open house setting can be a great way to make contact with possible buyers and sellers who are not attached to other agents.
